QYD Quest — March 11, 2022

The Deerfield Valley, VT steering committee recently held their first meeting! The ambitious group of youth and adults have already identified the first few benchmarks to tackle and they're aiming big! The steering committee identified the three benchmarks they feel will be most beneficial in their community and are off to a strong start. The benchmarks? No. 7: 'youth access to social services,' No. 5: 'youth are welcome posters in downtown businesses,' and No. 1: 'a welcoming and inclusive place for youth!'

Yes, they're joining Stowe in the journey to form a community youth center! Word has it they're already working with the local Parks and Rec department on this lofty goal, and have identified several other community members to bring on board. Good luck, Deerfield Valley!
